The shutter speed only matters when you’re slowing down a standard frame rate (such as 25 or 30 frames per second), so you don’t get artifacts; frame rates of 50 and 60FPS are used specifically for slow motion so you don’t have to change your shutter speed, which is what most people don’t want to do–this will usually change the way the viewer perceives motion on the screen. If the video author shot at a lower shutter speed, then the motion would be smooth, not choppy like in this video.

I’m a total movie noob, but don’t you have to use a fast shutter speed to get fluent slowmos? Based on the ISO rating, I’m guessing this was shot at 1/25 or something, which is makes it stutter in slowmo

Your video is very nice! I work with sound everyday. Techno & house was a part of my life for some years. Nice visual and audio together. I just got a Canon 7D, now I wait for the postman to bring my CF card – That will be nice too!

The framerate looks strange, did you import it into a 30FPS project or a 60FPS project when you slowed it down?
